Delivery Method:
Competitive Bid
Type of Construction:
Roadway
Project Size:
Building: 1,800 linear feet
Project Value:
$371,485
Project Overview:
The Main Brenan Road project included full-depth reclamation of 1,800 linear feet of existing roadway, installation of 2” of asphalt on top of the compacted, cement-infused reclaimed material. Curb, gutter, striping, signage, and seal coating were included in the scope of work. This project had to be completed during summer break on a compressed schedule. The complexity of this project was exacerbated by a host of existing underground site conditions that could not have been anticipated such as underground gas piping, electrical duct-banks, water mains, and storm sewer that was not indicated in the design drawings. A good portion of the work had to be executed with smaller equipment and more manpower. This slowed the project down, but our team worked extended hours and weekends until project completion.
