In 1988 Alpha began focusing on a new program called Job Order Contracting. We have worked with facility owners on their first Job Order Contract, where we were asked to help formulate their JOC procedures, and we’ve been awarded contracts from clients with well established JOC programs where we were able to adapt our procedures to match their requirements.

We’ve worked for small institutions like Trinity University and Freer ISD, and large, tier one research institutions like the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. Our clients have been as varied as the City of Houston and the City of Live Oak; the Department of Defense and the YMCA. The real benefit of the JOC program is that it allows us to establish a real partnership with any owner and tailor the program to fit any situation.

In the last few years we have expanded our project delivery methods outside of the JOC arena, usually at the request of a current client who had a project that didn’t fit typical JOC parameters.
